VMware is looking for a strong, seasoned professional to join our Global Web and Digital Services organization as Manager of Digital Marketing Analytics. In this role, you will impact our web strategy, SaaS transformation and various demand generation programs, to accelerate the buying decision and support the customer lifecycle. The role requires a multidisciplinary blend of analytical experience, strong technical capability, and business strategy. Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing Analytics, you will drive the critical responsibilities listed below.

Partner with leadership across marketing, corporate IT, and the Enterprise Data and Analytics team to understand our digital funnel, develop measurements, uncover opportunities, and influence marketing strategy and roadmaps to achieve business objectives on the website and across digital channels.

Define, analyze, and report on core digital marketing metrics to identify causal relationships between marketing actions and outcomes.

Translate data into actions and recommendations – appropriately interpreting, building findings, and fully exploiting insights to maximize the business impact of digital marketing.

Drive the development of quantitative analysis, ad hoc reports, and models to support marketing decision making across web and digital services, particularly around lifetime value, retention, targeting, multi-touch attribution, and media mix optimization.

Deliver presentations to communicate findings clearly and effectively to marketing stakeholders and executive leadership.

Unlock insights and guide the business – everything from tactical site optimizations to broad level strategic direction that is grounded in data and substantial analytical rigor.

Manage the design, execution, and analysis of A/B or multivariate testing programs.

Drive collaboration with internal and external technology partners (e.g., marketing operations, IT, data science, and third-party vendors) to firm up requirements and prioritize deliverables to enable data for decision-making.

Lead and develop a high-performance team of marketing analysts.

7+ years of marketing/analytics experience with 2+ years of people management experience.

Understanding of SaaS marketing.

Proven experience in driving projects from start to finish, while driving impact influencing roadmaps.

Expert command of analytics, statistical modeling, state-of-the-art tools, and marketing best practices. e.g., causal inference, significance testing, regression analysis.

Experience with SQL, particular with big data.

Some coding ability in R or Python is a plus.
