POSITION TITLE: Math Tutor
POSITION SUMMARY: The Student Success Center at York County Community College is seeking applicants for a part-time Math Tutor. This person will be responsible for one-on-one and group tutoring of students on an appointment or drop-in basis for 15-20 hours per week. The ideal candidate is student-centered, can help students with diverse math skills, and can communicate mathematical knowledge effectively to students, and can tutor both on campus and online.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associate degree
· Completed postsecondary coursework in calculus, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and/or statistics.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Experience with algebra-based physics and medical dosage calculations a plus
· Experience teaching or tutoring mathematics.
SALARY/BENEFITS: This is a non-benefited, contract position, up to 20 hours per week. Day, evening, and weekend hours available.
