Job Description
We are a fast growing high school coaching hub and currently looking for enthusiastic uni students to join our team. Prior tutoring experience is preferred, and all you need to be is passionate about helping kids and be highly competent in the area you’re teaching in. Training will be provided. We need tutors that are able to teach Year 3-12 Maths.
Knowledge of other subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Economics and English will be seen as a bonus
If you are successful, you will be offered a highly competitive hourly rate and guaranteed minimum hours per week.
What will you be doing?
- Teaching small classes and tutorials (max 6 students)
- Producing lesson notes (resources & materials will be provided)
- Creating weekly quizzes and marking homework
If you would like to work for more hours, extra work can be negotiated
Expected to work at least 1-2 days a week (approx 4-8 hrs), which can vary depending on your timetable (although we will try to accommodate as best we can, it’ll need to be flexible around our business needs). During uni break there will be fair amount of work available for the motivated and those with the right skill set
Qualification(s) required
A great deal of the work we perform requires specific knowledge of the education system in NSW. As a result, we require applicants to have completed the NSW HSC, candidates not meeting this requirement will NOT be considered.
To succeed in this role you will need minimum marks of:
HSC Maths Extension 1 (3 Unit / Extension 1) of 92+
HSC Maths (2 Unit / Advanced) of 95+
Be willing to travel to our location in Glebe which is conveniently situated 10 mins by bus/ light rail from Central Station; 20 mins walk from USYD
Ability to commit a minimum 4-6 hours per week
Open-minded to the training we provide and how we do things, reliable, confident, able to work without supervision, and punctual.

Part-time hours: 8 per week
Salary: $30.00 – $60.00 per hour
