Seeking a cleaner / tidier / cook for a private household (probably best suited as part time work for a University student)
About Us
We are a married couple in our mid twenties/early thirties. We don’t have any kids or pets. We both have full time jobs, and are hoping to find someone to help us out domestically.
Details
- Location: Riccarton
- Hours per week: 6
- Schedule: 3.30pm to 5.30pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (can shift days/times when University commitments (e.g. exams) come up)
- Pay: $25/hour
Example Work
- General cleaning (includes bathrooms)
- Basic cooking (e.g. try your best to follow a recipe we provide)
- Anything else you may reasonably be asked (e.g. sorting through boxes, minor gardening)
Ideally We’re Looking For Someone With A…
- Teachable attitude, who doesn’t mind being shown how we prefer things being done and then trying to do them that way
- Efficient work ethic as we prefer more fast “surface level” work to perfectionism (this role will not suit a perfectionist)
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality when working in someone’s household/personal space
- Willingness to be flexible/follow a todo list that may change from week to week
- Contentment with the pay rate + hours (6 hours for $150 per week). We’re likely to want this to be a long term arrangement, so if you won’t be happy doing this for at least 6 months (e.g. you’re actually looking for a role with more hours) please do not apply.
- Ability to organize their own transport (ideally living in Riccarton, or travelling through there anyway, as the role is only 2hours at a time and ends during peak traffic time)
We will supply all cleaning materials etc.
