Mechanical / Maintenance Engineer

A bit about the role: (3 roles available) The Engineering team plays a supporting role to the business to ensure that the day to day operations run smoothly. Ensuring assets are kept to a high standard and in turn minimises downtime, compliance and health and safety issues.

There will be a mix of preventable maintenance, attending breakdowns ensuring operations are back up and running in a timely manner. There will be R&M work, alongside the odd improvement project.

Key tasks include:

• Maintenance & Diagnostics of all plant/Machinery equipment (Planned, Routine, Breakdown);
• Mechanical works;
• Fault finding and repairs;
• Monitoring of mechanical equipment;
• Use of work shop equipment – operating lathe, mill/drill, welding equipment, tools;

To be successful in the role, you must have the following:

• Proven experience in a hands-on mechanical engineering;
• Minimum Trade Certificate Level 4 in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting & Turning (a must);
• Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues and contractors;
• Pneumatic and hydraulic experience;
• Stainless Tig welding experience (would be an advantage);
• Ability to fault find on mechanical equipment;
• Proven problem solving skills.
