We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to fulfill a casual role in our Medical Practice in Maroubra, NSW. The role would suit a Nursing Student (1st year preferred) as some medical knowledge is desirable.
The successful applicant(s) will need to be available to work on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, (9am to 5pm ). Other days may become available in future.
Duties include answering the phone and organising the doctor’s appointment book, greeting patients, liaising with aged care facilities and hospital staff over the phone, organising all patient data and correspondence, assistance during medical procedures and other duties, as required.
Experience using Best Practice and other medical database software is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills and fluent English are essential (native speaker preferred).
Vaccination for COVID-19 must be up to date and wearing a mask is mandatory while in the medical practice.
The successful applicant will undergo a three-month probationary period.
