About the role
We have opportunities for Registered Community Mental Health Nurses to work in a supportive and safe environment as Triage/Call Centre Operators. This is a unique chance where you could have the flexibility of working remotely and hours that suit your lifestyle.
You will be answering questions about mental health, (including from families/wh?nau who are worried about their loved ones), manage access to mental health and addiction services, and assist people who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The service is for everyone from Wellington, Porirua, K?piti, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa.
There is the option of part time work, and you will have the choice of working 8 hour or 12 hour shifts across a 24/7 roster, recognising that flexibility is the key to maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
After completing your 4-6 week orientation and training, you will be provided with a laptop and phone/headset so you can either be based at their awesome office in Porirua or work remotely in a non-public space. About the team
Te Haika is the Wellington region mental health and addiction contact centre for people in crisis or who have moderate to severe mental health or addiction problems. It is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by experienced and registered mental health and addiction professionals.
The team is friendly, supportive and welcoming and would love you to join them. They offer specialist mental health telephone triage training as well as ongoing professional supervision and development.
