Permanent part-time position working across 5 days with Saturday and Sunday as rostered days off. Saturday work will be required during the busy summer season.
The role is to provide cleaning services for high-use public reserve areas. The principal purpose of the role is to ensure that the public barbeque and picnic areas in Napier are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. This includes but is not limited to Anderson Park, Marine Parade, Spriggs Park, Humber Street and Maraenui shopping centre.
Key tasks for the City Street Cleaner include:
- Clean and maintain the barbeques and drinking fountains in Napier
- General litter control, but not limited to Reserve walkways, cycle ways and picnic areas
- To provide support to the City cleaning team and other NCC Departments when required
To be successful in this role, you need to have a reasonable level of fitness and be healthy with an ability to deal with refuse of all kinds. You will also need to be Health and Safety conscious to ensure you keep yourself and the community safe. You also need to hold a clean, full driver’s licence.
Please note, that this role works 5 days a week, including weekends and public holidays with Saturday and Sunday as rostered days off. We invite applications from those who understand and are available to work these hours.
