About The Role – Te mahi
Sudima Queenstown is a new 4.5-star hotel in the bustling Frankton area conveniently located in the Five Mile retail precinct. with views of the surrounding landscapes, high quality fit-out, well-appointed rooms, restaurant, bar and conference facilities.
We have two roles working the night shift that would suit applicants who are keen to build an exciting career within Front Office and are keen to learn and grow their skills and experience in a great team.

We are recruiting for:
1 x Night Auditor/Night Porter – full time working 2 x Night Audit Shifts and 3 Night Porter shifts each week
1 x Night Porter – part time but can pick up other shifts across the hotel
The position of Night Auditor spans across front office reception and Night Audit tasks, requiring a hospitality professional with a level head, professionalism and the ability to make our guests welcome with exceptional service.
From checking guests in/out, through to dealing with guest complaints, this varied position will require exceptional communication skills and the ability to think on your feet. You will be confident in your decision making and have a strong focus on safety and security.
You will be able to problem solve to ensure accuracy in accounting and be able to work unsupervised. You must be strong in using computer systems, reporting and excel.
As a Night Porter you will be focused on ensuring guest and staff areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation, to ensure we are putting our best foot forward for our team and guests.
Requirements

A commitment to being a reliable member of the night team
Be able to work 10pm to 6.30am with a roster that covers seven days a week including weekends and holidays.
Minimum of 1-years’ experience in Hotels preferably with Reception experience
Ability to work unsupervised, on your own and as part of a team
Cash handling
Good communication skills
Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
Calm, efficient, and organised with great attention to detail
Conflict resolution experience
Liaising with and communicating all relevant information to the Front Office team and to other departments
Ensuring that all security procedures are followed in relation to cash, keys, guest & building security and privacy
Maintaining a consistently high standard of cleaning of both guest and staff areas.
A full NZ Drivers Licence is required This role is required to be performed by a COVID-19 vaccinated worker in line with our company COVID-19 policy, where all workers & contractors are required to be vaccinated. As a mixed hospitality environment all our outlets and worksites require guests and visitors over 12 years and 3 months to present a valid vaccine pass (MVP) to gain entry. Our team are proud to be 100% vaccinated against COVID-19 doing our part to keep our workplaces, whānau and communities safe.
