At The Yard After Dark, the Security Attendant is one of the most important positions in the building, as they are vital to ensuring the safety of our guests and employees. No matter the situation, The Yard After Dark security is trained to respond and ensure all guests enjoy a safe and fun environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Maintains the security and safety of the building, Guests, Employees and their property by providing constant vigilance in and around the hotel premises
· Fills in security related job assignments
· Runs routine inspections of the building premises
· Acts promptly in the event of a circumstance that requires attention
· Assists Management in dealing with any incidents that arise within the building and produces detailed documentation of event
· Follows all Occupational Health & Safety rules upheld by management
· Projects a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust
· Remains composed and behaves professionally during emotionally charged or stressful situations
· Provides guest service in every interaction with guests throughout the evening
· Helps manage risk, and uses contingency plans to face uncertainty and adapt to change
· Sorts through conflicting perspectives without taking sides. Is aware of personal biases and doesn’t allow them to affect decisions
· Checking ID’s and making sure all patrons are of age to enter
· Searching and frisking patrons for weapons and/or substances prior to entrance
· Monitoring of front door and guests entering and exiting
· De-escalating any physical altercation that may occur
Desired Qualifications & Skills
· Law enforcement background
· First responder training
Physical Requirements
· Lift up to 30 lbs.
· Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Scranton, PA 18503: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
