Scenic Rail are entering an exciting space of growth and have a strong vision to support this development. We are looking for a passionate Part-time Food & Beverage coordinator to join our team.
The role of Part-time Food and Beverage coordinator will be based out Wellington Railway Station and we are looking for a 20 hours per week shift work. The Part-time F&B coordinator will ensure that food is ordered and food menu getting updated in a timely manner. The Part-time F&B coordinator should ensure customers on board a Great Journeys of New Zealand service receive an exceptional travel experience that meets and exceeds their expectations and in turn, generates delight and creates a reputation for service quality, care and commitment.
This role will involve checking in and luggage collection for our Northern Explorer passengers, loading food, beverage and provisions and also ordering, excepting deliveries, stocktaking and invoicing.
Health and Safety is an important part of how KiwiRail operates. You will be a safety leader and will be expected to “walk the safety talk”

This would be a 4 -5 days a week role. This role involves providing great customer service to Kiwirail passenger and collaborating with our external vendors & internal stakeholders. We want to offer food to our customers that complements the experience and is inspired by the region they are travelling through.

To be successful in this role you will need to have an exceptional focus on the customer experience. Our vision is to ensure that our customers are getting more than just a rail journey. We want them to have a complete onboard experience and you will play a critical role in ensuring this vision comes to life.
Our ideal candidate will also have the following:
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous experience in loading/ Unloading preferred but not essential
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external key stakeholders
- Ability to clearly document food and beverage processes and procedures in an engaging and user-friendly manner
- An understanding of stock management and logistics is desirable
