Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Te Ako Anamata | Future Learning and Development to work on a new initiative to establish a new entity, UC Online, which will offer global online education. We are seeking an Online Student Experience Lead to pioneer the development of an online student support model and provide excellent experience, support and guidance to our ākonga | students. You will be part of a small team working on this new initiative with a focus on establishing, mentoring and training a team of online student experience consultants, as well as guiding and supporting students engaged with online learning.

The role is essential for the establishment and delivery of strategic and operational plans for learning and teaching support in the context of the 2020-30, UC strategic vision.

To succeed in this role, you will be an effective leader with proven competence delivering multiple concurrent priorities and accustomed to working under pressure. You will be solutions-focused and able to think on your feet, a natural leader and collaborator with a confident and can-do attitude, and a passion for developing people.

Your skills will include:

  • experience in a similar role with a strong customer focus
  • knowledge of interpreting and applying policies, regulations and procedures
  • demonstrable experience working within tight deadline and setting priorities
  • excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • previous experience working with a student management system is desirable
  • an understanding of a tertiary education environment is desirable.
