Our Ophthalmology Service provides high quality care to patients in the Auckland Region – offering a range of secondary and tertiary services. This is a full time, permanent position (40 hours per week). In this role you will be employed by Auckland District Health Board and be primarily based at Greenlane Clinical Centre. You will also provide services at Counties Manukau DHB and at various sites across the Auckland region.
Working alongside a large team of part-time and full-time Consultants providing tertiary sub-specialist provision in all areas of Ophthalmology, you will enjoy working in a collaborative and cohesive team. You will also have the opportunity to engage in teaching as Auckland DHB is a major teaching and research centre, with strong links with the University of Auckland.
You will provide specialist Glaucoma and general ophthalmic services to the diverse population of the Auckland region.
You will be registered or be eligible for Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, and have undertaken postgraduate training in Ophthalmology, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologist (or equivalent).
