We are a long established before and after school care programme organisation in Lower Hutt. We believe that great staff are essential to run a great programme and we have a fabulous, dedicated team. Our staff are fun to be with, provide a warm caring environment and genuinely want to be with our children.
We seek an enthusiastic, energetic and reliable child care Supervisor, in charge of other staff, for our established Korokoro programme for School Years 0 – 8 children.
We are looking for someone with an enjoyment of life who has empathy and rapport with this age group. Good communication skills, time management, organisational skills and a good dosing of common sense is required. We will provide full and ongoing training; and thorough management support.
It would be preferable to have experience as a child care Supervisor in an OSCAR programme or similar skills such as undertaking an Education degree. Our previously employed students have found working with our children has assisted them in their studies and when applying for teaching roles.
Hours of work are Afternoons: 2:30(ish)pm start and up to 6pm finish Monday to Friday during school term time and attendance at staff meetings and training sessions is required.
Morning session and holiday programme work may also be available.
Hourly wage dependent on experience, skills and qualifications.
Applicant must be double vaccinated according to our COVID-19 mandate.
First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential.
Own transport is required due to the limited bus service in Korokoro.
The position commences when school starts Thursday 3rd Feb 2022 however we would like to employ in advance ie asap and then start training for the role towards the end of January.
