Contract: Fixed Term – Parental Leave Cover (0.6FTE, 24 hours per week)

Salary: As per MECA (pro rata)

Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

The Child Development Service is looking for an enthusiastic Paediatric Physiotherapist to join their team. Consideration will be given to a registered Physiotherapist who has a wide range of paediatric experience particularly with preschool children with developmental delays, or disabilities, and their families/whanau.

This is a part time (0.6FTE / 24 hours per week) position, based at Kenepuru Hospital, but the applicant would need to be available to work on all Child Development sites across the region (Wellington to Kapiti).

The Child Development Service is a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist assessment and intervention for children with (or at risk of) an intellectual, sensory or physical disability, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We use a holistic approach to enable children with disabilities to reach their maximum potential within their families and extended environment.

Moū – About you

  • Physiotherapy Qualification
  • Practicing Certificate from New Zealand Physiotherapy Board
  • Accreditation with Ministry of Health Enable NZ for wheelchairs and equipment
  • Experience working with children with neurological and developmental delays and disabilities
