Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
We are excited to offer the opportunity for an experienced pelvic health physiotherapist to join our Outpatient Hand therapy, Physiotherapy and Podiatry team in CCDHB. We work across Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru Community Hospital and Kapiti Health centre. This position is primarily based in the therapies outpatients- facility at Kenepuru Community Hospital & the Kapiti health centre, but may support colleagues by working on other sites as and when necessary to ensure equitable access to physiotherapy services across the region.
This role is one of three pelvic health physiotherapists who work collegially across the 3 sites. You will manage your own clinical caseload including class/group sessions and potentially assist in supervision of students and junior physiotherapists. The physiotherapist in this role will assess and treat people with pelvic health issues including acute and chronic presentations.
Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team
You will join a thriving and motivated outpatient Hand therapy, Physiotherapy & Podiatry team that works across 3 sites. The wider outpatient Therapy team includes therapists working in haemophilia, hand therapy (both physiotherapists and occupational therapists), pelvic health, respiratory and musculoskeletal; and alongside the podiatry team. In Kenepuru, this role will work alongside three experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapists and two rotational positions; and in Kapiti alongside four musculoskeletal physiotherapists; and within the larger outpatient team.
Moū – About you
You will be at least 4 years post graduate, with at least 1 years- experience in pelvic health physiotherapy. You will be a New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practising certificate. You will have experience in pelvic health outpatient work, and will have completed at least one post graduate internal examination course. You will be passionate about pelvic health and be comfortable running both group and one to one sessions. You will be comfortable working autonomously, though with support from your pelvic health colleagues in Wellington and with the wider outpatient therapies team in general. You will have a current drivers license.
