Because we sit within the grounds of Clyde Quay School, we enjoy strong connections with them which supports transitions and a seamless learning journey for children and families.
We are licenced for 30 children who attend for 6 hours each day. You will join our team of 3 other teachers.
This Part-time Teacher role is .8 (32hours per week). This includes non-contact time which is part of your day to day work at the kindergarten and is worked over the following days:
Mon 7.5hrs (8.30am – 4.30pm with 1/2hr unpaid break)
Tues 6.75hrs (8.30am – 3.45pm with 1/2 hr unpaid break)
Wed 8hrs (8.30am – 5pm with 1/2 hr unpaid break)
Thurs 5.5hrs (8.30am – 2.30pm with 1/2 hr unpaid break)
Fri 4.25hrs (8.30am – 12.45pm)
We are looking for an ECE teacher who can show a strong commitment to:
- Providing a responsive curriculum which promotes the learning potential of children from 2 to 5 years old, and incorporating this into a whānau based environment.
- Being a strong collaborator, with effective communication and the ability to be a creative problem solver.
- Implementing positive social competence strategies for the benefit of diverse ākonga.
- Implementing, and further developing, a strong bicultural programme which is based on Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Engaging and working with children and whānau from diverse cultures
Duties to commence asap or as negotiated.
