We require an experienced Porter to exceed guest expectations in our Front Office department.
Reporting to the Chief Concierge and Front Office Manager, you will have experience in a similar role in a hotel environment. You will be passionate, well organised, be calm under pressure and have knowledge of local area. Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests receive a memorable guest experience that is tailored to their individual needs.
Duties
- Valet park guests cars
- Assisting with luggage
- Resolve any guest issues promptly and successfully ensuring follow up and excellent communication at all times.
- Assisting with Front Office duties when required
- Hotel security floor checks
- Providing local information on Christchurch and the surrounding area
- Help guests with booking activities, restaurants, travel options
- Cleaning public areas and ensure building entrance is free of clutter
- Comply with health and safety regulations and follow emergency evacuation procedures
- Ensure guests are recognised and feel valued during their stay
Requirements
- Professional personal presentation and work ethic
- Clean full drivers licence, able to drive a manual
- Excellent knowledge of Christchurch and surrounding area
- Willing to work flexible hours as required
- Good communication skills
- Willing to go the extra mile for our guest to ensure they make the most of their stay
- Good physical condition, stamina and strength (e.g. to lift heavy equipment and luggage)
- Valid Right to Work in NZ
- This role is required to be performed by a COVID-19 vaccinated worker in line with our company COVID-19 policy, where all workers & contractors are required to receive their both vaccines. As a mixed hospitality environment all our outlets and worksites require guests and visitors over 12 years and 3 months to present a valid vaccine pass (MVP) to gain entry. Our team are proud to be 100% vaccinated against COVID-19 doing our part to keep our workplaces, whānau and communities safe.
