Fixed Term, Part Time

48 hours per fortnight (0.6FTE)

Our Perioperative Unit covers elective and acute surgery and has a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week acute service. We are currently able to offer a Registered Nurse a fantastic opportunity to join us and work with a multi-specialty team of professionals who keep our dynamic and busy unit humming as seamlessly as possible!

If successful, you will work as part of the DSU/PACU and Pre-Admissions team, predominantly based in PACU. The shifts in these positions are rostered and rotating from Monday to Sunday and will include on call. This is a fixed term role to cover paid parental leave until the end of May 2023.

You will bring proven surgical nursing experience and we will ensure a comprehensive orientation period, in-service education and opportunities to develop. It is imperative you hold a current driver licence and you must be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current practicing certificate.

As per COVID-19 Public Health Response Amendment Act (No 2) 2021, Hawkes Bay DHB requires ALL its employees to be both fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Boosters are now mandatory and if you were fully vaccinated prior to 16 August 2021, you must have your booster completed by 15 February 2022.
