He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Recreation Assistant situated in our West Wave Leisure and Pool Centre, for someone who is energetic and enthusiastic strives for the betterment our community. As a Recreation Assistant, no two days will be the same! You’ll help us deliver an exciting range of community fitness and school holiday programmes.
In this frontline role, your responsibilities will include, delivering exceptional customer service to our customers and visitors supporting with the delivery of a variety of exciting programmes for children aged 5-12, helping the centre maintain a caring, fun and safe fitness and leisure environment, providing assistance to centre management with administration and operational duties; and supporting with centre activities including sporting leagues and daily timetabled programmes.
He kōrero mōu: About you
This role will see you working with school students and community groups across the Auckland region.You’ll already be passionate about sports and recreation, and ready to step into a frontline customer service role. It goes without saying that you’ll be responsible when it comes to working with children. You’ll have a flexible approach and be able to use your initiative to facilitate suitable programmes for kids. An enthusiastic team player, you’ll have a positive attitude and infectious energy, and be committed to providing your customers with an exceptional experience.
Ideally, you’ll hold a First Aid Certificate and have an understanding of health and safety procedures. While previous experience working with children is beneficial, it’s not essential. Importantly, you’ll be committed to maintaining a high degree of professionalism in your work.
Exprience working with recreation gymnastics is desirable but not essential.
A full New Zealand driver’s liscence is mandatory.
