Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
Rostered and rotating position available in our haemodialysis nursing team working across our 3 dialysis units.
The Wellington Hospital dialysis unit has 10 treatment areas and provides haemodialysis treatment to inpatients and outpatients both on an acute and chronic basis and is operational 7 days a week.
The 24 station satellite dialysis unit at Kenepuru Hospital provides haemodialysis treatment to outpatients and is operational 7 days a week.
Te Whare Takihi mo te Katoa, a new 16 station satellite dialysis unit located in the Hutt Valley Health Hub next to Hutt Hospital opened in December 2020, and is operational 7 days a week.
The successful applicant will need to be able to work across all of the units on a day to day basis.
This position will be a new challenge in your nursing career with the opportunity to develop clinical skills in a specialty area, and also work in a new unit.
Duties include:
- Holistic nursing care to patients undergoing haemodialysis treatment * Patient assessment * Health education * Clinical problem solving * Engagement with multidisciplinary team Moū – About you
