About the role
As the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for planning and providing patient care within our operating theatres and working as an integral part of the theatre team.
You will also:
- ensure the theatre is prepared for the various scheduled operating lists
- work collaboratively within the theatre and wider perioperative team to anticipate and solve any problems that may arise throughout your shift
- complete all relevant documentation to ensure smooth and effective care of the patient
- maintain and manage adequate stocks levels of equipment, pharmaceuticals and consumables required
- have the opportunity to for fill various, scrub, circulating and assisting roles within the theatre.
About you
As the Registered Nurse in our Operating Theatre, you will you be professional, motivated and enthusiastic. You will have excellent communication skills and provide an exceptional standard of care to our patients.
You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:
- Registered Nurse with current NZ Nursing Council annual practicing certificate
- Demonstrated nursing experience within an operating theatre
- Be able to scrub and circulate for a variety of surgeries
- Committed to continuous quality improvement and personal development
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Be a dynamic and positive team player
