We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our small fabulous team here at Selina Sutherland Hospital within a supportive environment.
About the role
This role provides elective surgical inpatient care and support services in our consulting rooms and outpatient clinics.
We have available a permanent part time position of 64 hours per fortnight, rostered and rotating shifts, the ability to work additional hours as and when needed would be an advantage.
The Selina Sutherland Hospital has a compulsory closure during the Xmas period, this is for a duration of 3 weeks. This will be further discussed at interview.
About you
- You will have strong surgical nursing skills, an interest in quality care and progressing.
- You will also have excellent communication skills in customer service and patient care.
- You will have the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other disciplines including external customers.
- You will have excellent time management skills necessary to prioritise effectively and maintain patient safety, and the ability to work autonomously and alone if necessary.
- Understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the ability to put them into practice in caring for patients.
We require all our employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This includes the booster dose within six months of receiving the second dose of initial vaccination (for some people the initial vaccination will have comprised of three doses).
