Sales Coordinator

We have a great team working across four sites nationally and we have a new position available for a self-motivated and passionate sales person to join our friendly team in Christchurch.

You will need to have

• Have a positive and outgoing personality
• Be a “people person”, who loves meeting new people, and loves helping others
• Previous experience in sales and/or warehousing and an understanding of the construction industry would be a benefit.
• A great phone manner, helpful disposition and the ability to keep calm with any challenging situations
• Solution oriented approach to problems, we love helping customers!
• Great time management skills, we’re busy so we need you to be on top of your game at work, punctuality is key
• Pride in your work place, challenge the status quo and have the attitude that there’s always something to learn and do!
• Always be professional in your interactions with a wide variety of clients
• Have excellent listening and communication skills
• Have basic keyboard and computer skills
• An ability to gasp client’s needs and to increase customer engagement
• Have the ability and understanding to protect the company’s profits and minimise losses.
• You must be free of any criminal convictions, a criminal history check and pre-employment screening will be carried out prior to offer of employment
• Hold and maintain a clean, current full NZ driver’s license
• Applicants for this position should have NZ residency and be able to hold a New Zealand Passport
• Be able to get vehicle insurance
• Be able to drive and operate a forklift as well as manually handle heavy goods.
• Be able to visit both customers and supplier’s premises without restriction.
• Be able to travel nationally and internationally if required for work
• Be able to attend industry-based conferences and training workshops

What will you do?

Days and demands will vary, but as a minimum, you can expect to be doing the following:

• Counter and phone sales
• Provide solutions to customers; recommend them the best product and if it’s not in stock, find it!
• Debt collection.
• Visit and sell to locally owned businesses.
• Ensure the stock and the store are clean, well presented and any promotions are promoted!
• Warehouse duties such as unloading goods, receipting in products and dispatching to other branches and to customers as well as loading trucks and couriers.
• Have ideas, ask questions, be proactive and we will help you succeed!
