Kāpura is locally owned and operated and on the hunt for School Liaisons to support Kāpura’s contribution to the school lunches program that was launched in the 2021 school year. At Kāpura we believe in taking care of our people and we have a strong focus on giving back to the community.
We are looking for 4 School Liaisons for schools in the Porirua region to support the delivery in providing fresh, healthy lunches to our kids.
We’re after:
- 2 Liaisons for Titahi Bay School (start date is 3rd February)
- 2 Liaisons for Porirua East School (start date is 2nd February)
We need the successful applicants to be trained and ready to go before the start of the 2022 school year.
Days of work will be Monday to Friday and you will be expected to work around 2 hours per day, hours starting approximately 30 minutes before the school’s scheduled lunch break until 30 minutes after the scheduled lunch break. Perfect for those with limited availability looking for part-time work! This position is a fixed-term contract, until the end of the 2023 calendar School year.
As a School Liaison, you will be expected to carry out the following duties:
- Deliver prepared school lunches to all kids at school (classroom to classroom)
- Temperature check meals
- Check each delivery
- Check clean up and maintain hygiene levels throughout delivery process
- Ability to jump between jobs
- Have a passion for supporting students and the community
This role will be physically demanding as you will be shifting about 35 crates of lunches per day. Applicants will need to be able to. In this role you will also be required to handle all types of food including different meat products in the preparation of school lunches.
