About the role

Here at the NZSA we are assisting our security members by finding suitable candidates to work within their organisations.

The security industry is classed as an essential service and can operate during any lockdown events. This is a dynamic and fast-paced industry where no two days are the same. If you’re looking to protect your community and keep New Zealand running during Covid-19 then this may be the right job for you. Casual, part-time and full-time roles are available so you can help out in your community on a schedule that best works for you. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be provided where necessary.

There are a wide variety of security roles available. These roles include but are not limited to:

• Construction
• Events
• Healthcare
• Government
• Managed Isolation & Quarantine (MIQ)
• Mobile Patrol
• Retail (i.e., Supermarkets, malls, banks)

Previous experience not required – new entrants are highly encouraged to apply.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Strong work ethic
• Clean criminal record
• Ability to work irregular shifts (the industry operates 24/7)
• Reasonable fitness
• Good, clear written and spoken English
• Confidence with speaking to a diverse range of people
• Confidence working alone
• A NZ driver’s license and your own reliable transport
• Vaccinated (double jabbed including booster where applicable)
• A valid work visa or NZ citizenship
