We are seeking a part time experienced senior partnerships advisor to work within our City Partnerships team, who cover a wide variety of council focus areas including: Ngāti Toa Rangatira and Māori partnerships; Pacific relationships; children and young people; community well-being; village planning; consultation and engagement and, strategic partnerships. We always put our community and residents at the centre of our thinking, so we need smart people who are innovative and want to make things better.

This is the perfect part time role to offer you the work life balance you have been looking for. The hours of work are flexible between 25 and 32 hours each week.

Working in collaboration with the Partnerships Advisor – Children and Young People (CYP) to oversee the programme delivery of the Council strategic priority putting children and young people at the heart of the citywith key responsibilities such as:

  • Provide programme leadership support including leading some projects and initiatives and performing engagement work to this portfolio with the CYP Partnership Advisor
  • Manage key relationships across the education sector agencies and youth-based agencies
  • Understanding and working within the CYP Strategic Framework
  • Provide advocacy and engagement to the CYP Status Report and Annual Report
  • Build a programme of work in collaboration with the Partnerships Advisor which supports the successful delivery of the Secondary School Work Experience programme, Schools Road Safety programme, Youth Wellbeing Network plus other key projects listed in the City Partnerships team workplan.

We are looking for a senior advisor who has significant experience in the delivery of programmes to communities and partnership programmes; including consultation and engagement expertise in both public (face to face) and online forums. You will be known for your excellent stakeholder engagement skills as well as your highly developed facilitation skills. You will have previously managed contracts and contractors and be skilled at interfacing between members of the community, stakeholders and elected members.

To reduce the risk of harm of Covid-19 to our staff and our community, Council require all staff to be fully vaccinated. It has therefore been determined that this role may only be performed by a person who is fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
