Snack Bar Clerks are an integral part of the camping experience. Our clerks are cross trained in multiple positions, which all require self-motivation and strong multi-tasking skills for maintaining day-to-day operations of the snack bar, general store and boat rental shop. This position is in direct contact with a large number of our guests and other team members. Clerks must have the ability to be positive, courteous and friendly. This ensures the outstanding customer service our guests at Keen Lake expect and deserve.
Snack Bar requires a demonstration of safe food-handling practices and operation of basic kitchen equipment to scoop ice cream and prepare quality food and beverages. Previous experiences in food service is preferred, but will have on-site training available.
In the Boat Shop, clerks are in charge of renting boats and sports equipment. While fun is our goal, safety is our number one priority. Clerks must inform our guests on proper boating rules and procedures while completing rental contracts accurately.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Completing retail transactions that may require basic math skills.
– Inventory and stocking of the general store and boat shop.
– Cleaning and other tasks that will require lifting up to 40 lbs.
This position requires open and flexible availability including weekends, evenings and holidays during the camping season, which runs from May – October. Opportunities for cross-training in other departments may be available as well.

Pay: From $8.50 per hour
