An exciting opportunity is available at Hawke’s Bay District Health Board.
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative Speech Language Therapist to provide professional leadership for the Speech Language Therapy profession across inpatients, adult community, child development, mental health inpatients and community. This position will have a focus on workforce development ensuring safe and high-quality patient care and outcome focused clinical practice.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring clinical assurance activities for Speech Language Therapy, such as consistent standards of practice, ensuring effective use of evidence based, safe and competent practice and will also support managers across services on issues and opportunities related to Speech Language Therapy. This position will also have oversight of the education and training of Speech Language therapy clinicians and students across the DHB sector.
You will be expected to work collaboratively to support, develop and promote opportunities for Speech Language Therapy interprofessional team work, equity and greater integration of health services, and provide advice on organisational and workforce priorities.
The successful candidate must have a strong clinical background with a current NZ practising certificate, excellent communication and liaison skills and be aligned to the values of the organisation.
