SCOPE OF WORK: Serves as an official representative of the College, assisting prospective students and their families in their transition to NHTI, Concord’s Community College. This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Student Success and Retention at NHTI – Concord’s Community College.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Provides tours to groups of prospective students;

Serves as a resource person for prospective students and other visitors to campus;

Contacts potential students (who apply and do not register for classes) in a variety of ways to assist them in registering;
-
Contacts students who choose not to return to NHTI to determine the circumstances;
-
Contacts students who are currently enrolled in a partial course load and supports them to work towards a full course load, if appropriate, to reach graduation;

Recruits and trains Student Ambassadors;
-
Assists with recruitment events, such as school group visits to NHTI, Open Houses, and Orientations;
-
Assists Admissions Office by performing clerical activities, including, but not limited to preparation of materials and follow up with prospective students;

Performs data entry duties, as required;

Assist Admissions Office personnel during student registration period on Banner
-
Answers personal inquiries as they relate to the Admissions Office;
-
Answers Admissions office telephones and assists with main switchboard telephone duties;
-
Provides support to the following offices: Admissions, Financial Aid, Bursar, Registrar, and Student Life;
- Student Ambassadors must read, understand, and adhere to NHTI’s student life policies, and will be expected to support and model them in their dealings with new students

Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations;

Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Completion of two (2) years of high school or its equivalent.
Experience: No experience required.
License/Certification: None
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a NHTI college student with a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 (both at the time of application and maintain this throughout their participation in the Program) or a recent graduate, and remain in good standing with the college regarding their disciplinary records.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Some knowledge of proper English usage and grammar. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to learn assigned clerical tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed departmental procedures. Ability to make simple arithmetical computations and tabulations accurately and with reasonable speed. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.
