We are looking for a machine enthusiast to join our team.
The role will involve operating our range of stump grinders, dealing with clients, and running the day-to-day operations of the stump grinding side to the business.
Due to the nature of the job this role requires someone with a mechanical background. The role will also involve basic maintenance tasks on the stump grinding machines to keep them up and running.
Sometimes your skills will be required on the crew helping with grounds person tasks such as chainsaw use, rigging and truck driving. No experience with arboriculture that’s no problem, we will train you.
This job lends itself to flexibility. While stump grinding generally will need to be done within normal working hours (Monday-Saturday), the repair side of the role could suit being done after hours.
50% of our staff are on a 4-day week and we envision this role being based on this model. We are open to suggestions though on how this role could work for you.

What we need from you:
- Strong mechanical skills.
- HT Licence or at least the ability to get one in short order (E.g., had a full car licence for at least 6 months)
- Good attitude – we want someone who wants to be here that we will enjoy working with
- Ability to legally work in New Zealand
