At Pinot’s Palette Lexington Center a paint and sip art studio that combines the appreciation of art and fun. We have tons of great programs and events for younger artists! We offer art workshop all summer for kids age 6 and up starting until Sep 2nd, 2022.
Position Summary: We are hiring art teacher to lead and oversees all aspects of the art program that includes check in/checkout, leading 2 art projects in day, monitoring kids during snack and lunch break and during indoor games. Each day is designed to teach 2 art projects including crafty projects. Also, ensuring the safety, enjoyment, and emotional well-being for all kids. Each week we explore different art themes, crafty projects and group indoor games. Serving ages 6-13 years.
Hours of work: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Location: 7A Meriam St, Lexington MA 02420
Minimum Age Requirement: Applicants age 21 are welcome to apply. Art college students are preferred.
Program Responsibility:
- Lead and teach art projects.
- Actively encourage students in painting, mini craft projects and indoor games.
- Create an enthusiastic, engaging, and inclusive environment for participants.
- Provide behavior management for groups of 15-30 children.
- Communicate with another assistant regarding participant progress and behavior.
- Ensure the safety of all kids.
- Communication with parents as needed.
- Responsibilities include setting up for the class.
- Cleanup duties include wiping all the tables, cleaning brushes, sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash.
Required Knowledge:
- Art experience needed using acrylic paint or an art degree required.
- Ideally art teacher.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt Pinot’s Palette environment.
- Interest in learning about a wide range of topics in the art field.
- Art instructors must be able to engage with participants in art projects and maintain a fun environment.
- Dependability, teamwork, and enthusiasm are required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Art degree or associate degree required.
- Or, experience freelancer with acrylic medium.
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged youth grades is preferred.
- Must be creative & enthusiastic.
- Must be able to provide own lunch.
