Your Role:
We are looking for a Trainee Track Worker to join our team in our Dunedin depot on a permanent, full time basis. This is an entry Level role where no experience is necessary, and we provide fully paid training. As a member of the track maintenance team you will work as part of a small, collaborative team carrying out the maintenance, repairs and renewals of our infrastructure asset (the train tracks) in a safe, cost effective and timely manner. This position works outdoors, and you must be keen to work in all weather conditions and not be afraid to get your hands dirty in this physical role.

- Starting hourly rate of $25.23, moving to $25.54 once training is complete

Your Skills:
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly enthusiastic and enjoy a role that includes following procedures, instructions and problem solving. We have a great team here – you’ll be working as part of a supportive and inclusive team environment. You will also have:
- A full, clean, Class 1 Driver Licence with a Class 2 (HT Licence) an advantage
- Comfortable working within safety guidelines and with light mechanical hand tools
- The ability to pass and retain stringent medical and drug standards
- A high level of physical fitness, team spirit and be Health and sSafety focused
- Ability to work both weekend and night shifts on a pre-planned rotating roster
