Emerge Aotearoa is a national provider of mental health, addiction, disability, offender rehabilitation, wellbeing and housing services. He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role

This role is working across the Hutt Valley supporting people in the community who experience mental health issues. We are looking for someone who has an understanding of Mental Health issues, is confident working after hours, and enjoys working alongside people to help them achieve their goals. This is a great opportunity to join a highly professional and passionate team to work alongside whānau on their journey of wellbeing.

This is a permanent full-time role , consisting of 40 hours per week. The service hours are from 7.00 am to 11.00 pm and are Monday to Sunday.

He kōrero mōu | About You

We are looking for someone who is positive, flexible, vibrant, confident and compassionate to work in our service. You’ll naturally be a problem solver, quick thinker and enjoy connecting with others. You’ll use your non-judgemental attitude and belief to encourage clients to change and grow. You’ll have the ability to easily build professional relationships with our tāngata whaiora, while maintaining strong professional boundaries.

To be successful in this role, you’ll require a Level 4 in Health & Disability (or higher) qualification, however; if you’re passionate about our organisation and you’re willing to work towards a qualification we’ll support you as much as we can. Experience in similar role is preferred, however, not a requirement. You’ll be culturally respectful and non-judgemental – a strong understanding of Māori and Pacifica cultures is preferred.
