What’s the role about?
We are looking for part time Support Workers in the Invercargill region. As a Support Worker you will be working with young individuals to enable them to participate in meaningful activities in the community. Availability to work after school hours and weekends is highly regarded.
We are looking for passionate people to support children and youth with intellectual disabilities, helping them to get out and about in the community. You could be taking them swimming or to sporting activities, going on walks to the park, arts and crafts, movies – the opportunities are endless.
This is a wonderful opportunity to help people grow and achieve greater independence, develop strong social skills and support them to be part of their community – you will be somebody who really thrives off helping others. Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
