Position: Title 1 Literacy TutorLocation: Cunniff, Hosmer, and Lowell Elementary Schools, Watertown Middle SchoolJob Type: PT, 18 hours/weekPay: $30/hr.The Title I tutor will work with classroom teachers to identify students who require substantial intervention in Literacy. The tutor will work with these students primarily in a small group model for the purpose targeted assistance aligned with the Literacy Curriculum. This is a part-time position, 18 hours per week. Grant Funded, approximately 40 weeks.

- Work with principal, coach, and classroom teachers to identify potential students for the assistance/ intervention using objective criteria
- Outreach with parents of qualifying students to explain support structures available
- Teach and assist with identified interventions or lessons as identified in the area of reading.
- Maintain a log of lessons/topics taught, reinforced, re-taught and or front-loaded, as well as student attendance during these times
- Complete required paperwork for the strategies/interventions as outlined in Title I regulationsQualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to implement interventions in reading programs and to provide support to at-risk studentsOrganizational Relationship or Line of Authority: Literacy Curriculum Coordinator
