Una Williams is a Full Year – School day kindergarten and is placed to the east side of the central township of Masterton. It has a large inviting natural outdoor environment and spacious building.

The community are actively involved in excursions and social events, supporting teachers in the programme. Our whānau and aiga are welcome to be part of our community of learners. It takes a village to raise a child and we believe that children will benefit from having different lenses to add knowledge into their kete.

This Permanent Part-time .8 (32 hours per week) position is worked over the following days:

Mon (8hrs) 8.00am to 4.30pm (including 1/2 unpaid break)

Tues (8hrs) 8.00am to 4.30pm (including 1/2 unpaid break)

Wed (8hrs) 8.00am to 4.30pm(including 1/2 unpaid break)

Thur (4hrs) 11.30am to 3.30pm

Fri (4hrs) 11.30am to 3.30pm

We are licenced for 40 children who attend for 6 hours each day. You will join our team of 4 other teachers.

We are looking for an experienced ECE teacher who:

  • is responsive in forming relationships with colleagues, whānau and tamariki with a lens of supporting the wealth of knowledge they bring with them
  • selects teaching and assessment approaches based on a thorough knowledge of Te Whāriki 2017, ECE pedagogy and the learner.
  • actively contributes to, and engages in reciprocal, collaborative learning-focused relationships with tamariki, whānau, teaching team, support staff and other professionals.

This position will commence beginning of Term 3 or as negotiated,
