We are looking for a visitor-focused all-rounder to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.
The National Aquarium of New Zealand is owned by the people of Napier and Napier City Council. It attracts 150,000 visitors each year and offers a wide range of experiences from diving displays and keeper talks, to getting up close and personal with little penguins. Its centrepiece exhibit is the stunning 1.5 million litre Oceanarium with a 50m-long viewing tunnel.
We’re looking for a motivated and focused individual to join our high performing team at the Aquarium. You will provide a welcoming experience to all visitors and deliver service excellence across reception, retail and Café, including food preparation and food service. You will be confident in dealing with people face to face, listening to visitors’ needs and delivering a consistently high level of service at all times. It is essential that you are friendly and helpful, in order to maximize and provide a positive experience.
This role will appeal to highly focused individual who wants to develop their skills and contribute to the way visitor service is delivered in one of New Zealand’s leading tourist attractions. A current first aid certificate, duty management certificate and food hygiene qualifications are desirable.
