RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PORTFOLIO

The research and development team is a crucial part of the Youthplomacy team as a whole, headed by the Director of Research and Development; the team is expected to provide extensive research on broad-ranging global issues in the area of diplomacy, foreign affairs, maritime affairs, gastronomy, environment, and sustainability, as well as Socio-cultural related matters, the team are also expected to give guidance and advice on events.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE (DIPLOMACY)

Reports to : Director of Research and Development

Position Duration : 3 months

Time commitment : Approximately 6-8 hours per week

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a research and development associate in Diplomacy, your assignments will include (but are not limited to) :

  • Conducting extensive, accountable, and non-biased research on Diplomacy.
  • Producing articles and or academic journals related to Diplomacy.
  • Collaborating with the content writing department in making articles and content related to Diplomacy.
  • Attend bi-weekly team meetings and department meetings to report and provide input.
  • Creating recommendations for improvement where feasible and appropriate.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • You have a strong understanding of and interest in Diplomacy
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, collate and present information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Have excellent English language and writing skills, attention to detail, can plan and accurately proofread your research.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and build effective working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results, work as a team, take the initiative and work independently.
  • Operationalizing data processing applications and/or data visualization is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Background in International relations, Political Science, or Communication is a plus but not mandatory.
