Morning Shift – 6am-2.30pm Monday-Friday

We are seeking a proactive leader who is happy to step-in and operate machinery as and when required. Most importantly a great communicator and people manager, who is very well organized, and has high attention to quality.  

ABOUT YOU

  • As a Warehouse, Production or Shift Supervisor, you have experience managing a small team.
  • Hold a current Forklift License and have used Production Machinery.  
  • Slitter or guillotine experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • Approachable and enjoy encouraging and supporting your team to achieve success.  Enjoy upskilling and motivating others.
  • Customer service focused – internally and with external customers.
  • A proactive approach and plenty of initiative.  An excellent problem-solver.
  • Well organised and able to manage production schedules.
  • Monitor and meet production targets.
  • Administratively competent. Able to use and learn new software.
  • Team-player.  Work cooperatively with not only your own team, but with sales, operations and management.

THE ROLE

A confident leader who in this role will lead a team of 4 Machine Operators (converting / slitting machines). This role will involve ensuring the following;

  • Your team are engaged, motivated, constantly learning and upskilling
  • Quality product is produced consistently.
  • Lead times are met.
  • Waste is kept to a minimum.
  • Productivity and efficiency across the converting / guillotine division in maintained.
  • Staff levels are appropriate, and you manage annual leave etc.
  • Consistently deliver a high level of communication and customer service.
  • Identify and provide recommendations for improvements in systems and processes.
  • Housekeeping is maintained to a high standard.
  • Safe Operating Procedures are at the forefront and OSH guidelines followed.
  • Administration is kept up-to-date, and productivity monitored (speed, volume and accuracy of converting output recorded and delivered on targets).
