Our client is a respected and well known charitable international organisation based in Christchurch. They are looking for a reliable hardworking Warehouse Coordinator to join their team for four months to support them opening a new warehouse based by the Christchurch Airport.
The Role
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for dispatching orders, receipting goods and managing inventory in accordance with company policies and procedures. This will involve picking and packing outwards goods, unloading and storing inwards goods and ensuring the inhouse system is kept up to date. You will also deliver goods from time to time and organise courier pick ups when required.
This role is sole charge so you must be comfortable working on your own the majority of the time. Essential to your success will be your strong literacy, numeracy and computer skills along with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and continuous improvement focus. Ideally you will have previous experience in a warehousing environment and/or some manual work experience, however this is not essential.
You will also have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a logical practical approach
- A high level of physical fitness
- Strong computer literacy skills
- A full clean drivers licence
This is a four month contract role that can be either part time or full time. This can be a ‘job share’ role so may be suitable for two students looking for part time work.
