We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Community Nursing and Allied Health Administrator to join our team. This is a 9-month Fixed Term position and this role will be based in our Auckland Head Office.

As a Community Nursing and Allied Health Administrator at Healthvision NZ Ltd, you will be responsible for promoting Healthvision to referrers, and potential funders, in a professional and positive manner and assisting the Nursing Co-ordinator to monitor and ensure an even spread of referrals as far as possible within Healthvision ‘business areas’, adequate numbers of suitable Community Nursing and Allied Health personnel (all with an APC), monitor changes in referral numbers and keeping the Clinical Leads of Community Nursing & Allied Health informed.


Key Tasks Involved:

  • Service Co-ordination: Ensure the effective delivery of appropriate, high quality Community Nursing and Allied Health services for Healthvision Clients.
  • Finance/Timesheeting Duties: Liaise and work closely with Finance and Payroll team on weekly time sheeting data entry
  • Relationship Management/Marketing: An efficient working relationship with associated health professionals and referrers is an essential component of this role
  • Health & Safety: Provide key support to Healthvisions policies and approach on Health and Safety for staff, clients and visitors
  • Community Nursing & Allied Health: Assist directly in the induction process by providing information to individuals on the relevant administration processes related to Community Nursing & Allied Health, providing ongoing support to teams.
  • Client/Customer Service and Focus
    • Liaise with the Client’s Case Manager (ACC) as required.
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Clients and Referrers.

The work is challenging at times, varied and there is a strong emphasis placed on building relationships with our funders and internal clients to ensure positive outcomes. Outstanding customer service skills, accuracy, timeliness and being a good organiser are essential to this role in addition to being able to negotiate competing demands. This role will suit you if you are self-motivated and a fast learner, can remain calm under pressure, have an eye for detail, and approach everything with common sense.


The ideal candidate would have:

  • Sound knowledge of business administration practices and policies, with knowledge of good reception processes, ideally in a mid-sized commercial Healthcare organisation.
  • Experience in, and knowledge of the Health and Disability sector in New Zealand.
  • An ability to behave in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  • Excellent and demonstrated written, oral and positive interpersonal communication skills – including an ability to listen fully and carefully, to analyse and assess situations quickly, to persuade and present ideas/perspectives, to build productive working relationships, to positively relate to a broad range of people, to explain and create understanding.
  • Proven Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience.
  • Ability to plan, to set priorities, and maintain performance under pressure.
  • Possesses flexibility, adaptability, integrity, flair and initiative.
  • A pro-active, goal orientated, problem-solving and focused approach to the tasks and responsibilities associated with the role.
  • Commitment to provision of high quality ‘client focused’ service.
  • Able to work in a complex and changing environment.
