The role/Te mahi
Working in our sector leading Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) this role focuses on developing business cases for construction, enterprise IT and business transformation projects / programmes.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small but highly skilled team of project professionals. This is not your usual project management environment. Be part of a team that enables executive decision makers to assess all major investments and changes within the University. Challenges will include getting to grips with a complex environment, positively influencing key relationships with numerous internal and external stakeholders, as well as helping drive best practice project and programme management within the University. A very rare opportunity indeed!
- assist in the development of complex and highly strategic business cases suitable for an executive audience.
- support and contribute to the development and adoption of the University’s business case framework, processes and practices.
- support the efficient and effective operation of University’s wider project, programme and portfolio management (3PM) practices.
Skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Experience working in a similar role with a focus on project governance, business case development and/or project management.
- Experience working with, and influencing a diverse group of stakeholders and facilitating project stakeholders’ workshops.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in either construction, IT or strategic change environments would be an advantage.
Prince2 or PMP qualification is desirable. Better Business Case accreditation will be an advantage, as would MSP.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) fixed-term position for two years.
We offer 5 weeks’ annual leave, a 6.75% superannuation scheme, and the ability to achieve real work/life balance.
Base salary of up to $85,542. Total compensation subject to negotiable bonus.
