Support Worker – Saint Clair, Otago

*Earn from $341.60/night* Part time/Casual positions available. Earn $21.50 to $27.00 an hour. This is a busy and diverse role, assisting residents with their day-to-day activities. We are looking to recruit people with a can-do attitude to support people to live a great life. Further Careerforce education can be supported even if you are new to the profession. We will help you achieve a Level 4 National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing which will qualify you for the $27.00 an hour pay rate. The safety of our residents and staff is important to us. For this reason, we require all our employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 before commencing work.

The role will involve providing general supervision and support for residents with mental and/or physical disabilities, as well as preparing and cooking meals. You may need to work with a few clients who have some behavioural difficulties, but a management plan is put in place.

We are understanding that students may have placements as part of their courses, may require a few weeks off at a time and we are happy to work around this.

Support working can be a very lucrative role especially as a student as the opportunity to work a multitude of hours is there, should you wish. Our minimum hours we would expect from new staff are 8- 16 hours per week (includes sleepover) with extra casual hours available. Currently, these shifts are predominantly available in the weekend, therefore weekend availability is essential. With sleepover shifts available, there is the opportunity to do a night’s work (5pm-9am), which includes sleeping on site (11pm-7am), and earn from
$341.60/per night.
