The Position
An exciting opportunity for a motivated Sales Consultant – New Equipment. Reporting through to the National Sales & Specification Manager, this role promotes and sells AAES products through our existing clientele and new customer opportunities. You will identify and take action to ensure a secure and profitable transactions between client and company. To achieve sales growth you will need to work closely will all ASSA ABLOY divisions and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve the set new equipment sales for the regions assigned
- Plan and prioritise sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including sales revenue
- Plan and manage business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy
- Manage product/service mix, pricing and discounts according to agreed aims
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods in line with AAES policy and relevant internal liaison, in order to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer and satisfaction
- Use customer and prospective contact activity tools and systems and update relevant information held in these systems
- Plan/carry-out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities, eg product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing 8. Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
- Record, analyse, report and administer according to systems and requirements
- Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
- Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
- Adhere to health and safety policy and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ strong sales experience
- Experience in service/construction industry highly regarded Strong presentation skills
- Knowledge of MS Office essential
- “Hunter” style sales person
- Competitor knowledge/experience highly advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organisational and Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
