About the role
This is hands on senior management position where you’ll be focused on ensuring the perfect delivery of service to all of our guests. It has a Food & Beverage focus and will be restaurant-based Thurs-Sat with admin/office duties during business hours on Tues/Wed. You’ll have the responsibility of stepping in for the Hotel General Manager when required. Some of your duties in this role are to:
- Ensure the prompt and efficient service of all meals, snacks, beverages and functions to the required standards
- Assume responsibility for the Hotel in the General Managers absence
- Ensure profit margins are maintained and agreed costs are not exceeded through effective control systems, including: auditing against dockets, sales analysis, menu costings and cash checks
- Act as Duty Manager as required
- Ensure the efficient running of all F&B outlets
- Ensure maximum security in all areas under your control and staff are fully aware of the importance of key security
- Ensure reports and administration requirements are promptly submitted
- Ensure Back of House departments operate effectively and efficiently
- Hold regular performance appraisals with all F&B staff, identifying areas for development and training needs, and ensure this training is in place
Who are you?
You are an experienced Restaurant Manager with experience in hotel environment, you’ll have a good understanding of hotel operations, preferably including Front Office, and be confident with stepping in for the General Manager if required. It is vital that you are a people person who always has a guest focus, as this role is all about ensuring our guests have a memorable experience with us. You’ll want to hit the ground running, always lead from the front and have a real Front of House presence.
