Fire and Emergency New Zealand is looking for a motivated, energetic and organised Business Services Coordinator to join our Wellington Central based team. Reporting to the Business Services Manager, you’ll be part of a team committed to delivering outstanding administrative support.This role is covered by the Fire and Emergency New Zealand COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, with effect from 28 February 2022. This means that it is a requirement that this role is undertaken by a fully vaccinated person (or a person who holds a valid exemption issued by the Director-General of Health).Responsibilities include performing a wide range of services such as:

  • General office administrative duties
  • Responding to public and internal enquiries
  • Project coordination and administration
  • Event management
  • Accounts payable & receivable
  • Business process improvements

Specific attributes we’re looking for include:

  • Tech-savvy confidence across a range of applications
  • The ability to work as an effective and collaborative team member
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Positive “can do” attitude

Our ideal candidate is someone with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, has experience working as part of a team, is motivated, flexible and has a proactive outlook towards improving business processes within an organisation.We are willing to consider flexible working options which could include, but are not limited to:

  • People with an administrative background, who are looking to get back into the workforce
