Trinity Grammar School is seeking a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic to help us keep our students well fed and ready to learn!
This part-time Cafeteria Assistant contract role is offering 25 hours a week, School terms only for 2022. The successful candidate will help with the day-to-day operations of the Cafeteria at the Summer Hill Campus and work as part of the team with food preparation, serving and undertaking daily cleaning to complying with the School’s health and safety requirements.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a small team preparing and cooking high volumes of healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for our wonderful students and staff. Experience working with POS systems in a similar setting is highly advantageous. A strong work ethic and good sense of humour will also equip you well in this role.
To be successful in this role, you will have qualifications and experience in a commercial kitchen or similar setting, have a strong commitment to working safely and in accordance with the WHS guidelines and a willingness to learn.
You will require:
- Minimum Certificate II in Food Preparation, Hospitality or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in working in a small team
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner as you’ll be interacting with peers, staff and students.
- Professional approach to work – punctual and well-groomed.
- A current NSW Working with Children Check Number (Employment Status not Volunteer).
- A current COVID-19 vaccination certificate or medical contraindication exemption form
- A valid First Aid qualification (HLTAID003) and CPR Certificate (HLTAID001).
- You will also be required to undertake Child Protection training prior to commencement.
