We are currently looking to employ a Canteen Operator to run our school canteen.
The successful applicant would be required to work 2.5 hours sole charge per day Monday to Friday, (at this stage position is term 1 only, with the potential to be extended) communicating with the Community Association representative as and when required.
You would be responsible for opening and closing the canteen during the school term. Purchasing stock and dealing with the financial side of the canteen.
Knowledge of the Xero programme would also be an advantage.
As the Government has mandated that work be done by vaccinated people in the education sector, and the Canteen is on school grounds this will require the successful applicant to be double vaccinated.
You will also require holding a Basic Food Handling Certificate.
The successful candidate would be a team player, able to work on their own under the Community Association Guidance. The candidate would be flexible with tasks required, work in a timely manner and be confident and friendly when communication with customers and the school management team.
