Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse or an existing Clinical Nurse Specialist who has the ability to support and lead nursing staff in the speciality area of Health of Older Persons. This role is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team and will work across the provider arm of Wairarapa DHB as well as alongside the PHO, NGO’s and the aged and residential care settings.

This is a permanent part time position, working 64 hours per fortnight, to work within the clinical speciality, acting as a clinical expert, role model, change agent, resource person and leader in the pursuit of clinical nursing excellence and improved health outcomes for the defined patient population within the Health of Older Persons’ Services.

Moū – About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered Nurse with current practising certificate.
  • Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in speciality nursing practice.
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in working with older persons / Mental Health.
  • Ability to work across clinical teams.
  • Demonstrated teaching skills.
  • Ability to provide clinical leadership.
